Where in the World Day 2 AND Fun Monday

For those Fun Monday visitors, I am currently on vacation. A not planned, spur of the moment, where ya wanna go today vacation.

So we are having a Where in the World is Fianna game. Not as exotic as Matt Lauer, but play along!

First settled by Native Americans, it was not discovered by Whitey until around the Civil War time.

Depending on where you are at in the area, the weather varies. Much like Houston.

Around the time my parents were being potty-trained, 2 planes collided right near this here place. The crash changed many of the aviation rules that were in place at the time.

75 different species of mammal, 50 species of reptiles, 25 species of fish, and 300 species of bird call this place home.

And Wilma loves my old green apron that I found at an estate sale. This is an everyday get down and dirty cute apron.

The dino....he is looking smashing in the most amazing gift from my friend Kaytabug. She found it in a thrift store in our hometown in KS and mailed it to me. I believe she stated that she could totally picture me as a 50's housewife wearing pumps, this apron and throwing a dinner party for my dear. I totally agree, but would probably wear flip-flops instead of heels.

Here are closer views of each at a very scary hotel we stayed at.

I will do my best to post the next installment and perhaps some pictures of Santa Fe later tonight or perhaps tomorrow. Never know Where in the World....is Fianna!

Everyone have a Fun Monday!!

Hmmm you actually managed to make a post about aprons interesting. At first I thought that you had photoshopped the Wilma picture, then I realised you were at a high class restaurant.

Gee, I haven't got a clue where you are, but if you had been there in June 1956, you may have seen United Airlines Flight 718 and TWA Flight 2 make a big boom.

Scary hotels? You must be in my state of Arkansas.

I have no idea where you are but I am roaring with laughter that you took those lovely aprons with you. The light blue one looks like something you'd throw over food to keep flies off.

I don't know where you are (or were I guess since I'm late commenting) but I hope it was somewhere fun!

I took the aprons with me in hopes that a good opportunity would come up for pics. On the way to the Grand Canyon is a Flintstones themed restaurant/gift shop/money-dropping place. My dear was not amused with me taking these shots. The various other visitors appeared to be!
